Wedding Anniversaries

May 20th of this year is our 4th wedding anniversary. Including the six years that we dated, we have been an item for ten happy years. We have loved and relied on each other for all that time. This year, we have something special in the works. We plan on greeting a bundle of joy that looks just like us. My husband has striking eyes, so I hope the baby will take after him. I also hope the child will have a bright, outgoing personality like me.

We're still pretty scared, and it's hard to muster up the courage. But as long as we help each other out as we have done so until now, I'm sure we can become model parents. We are counting the days until a baby that takes after us finally joins our happy family.

muster sth up - try hard to find that quality in yourself because you need it in order to something

striking - obvious, interesting, and (esp, of a person) often attractive

conceive - to become pregnant, or to cause a baby to begin to form

1: Oh, I see.
