I recently saw the music video for IU’s song “Love Wins All.” Among the many scenes, the one that left the deepest impression was when the two main characters found a camera in a ruined space and used it to see each other through the lens.
Although their reality was in ruins, the world through the camera lens seemed cozy and warm. That scene seemed to show how the world can feel completely different depending on which lens you use to view it.
After watching the video, I reflected on which lens I use to look at others. Like the two main characters, I want to view the world through a lens that avoids prejudice and treats others with a sincere attitude.

최근 아이유의 노래 “Love Wins All” 뮤직비디오를 봤다. 여러 장면 중 가장 깊은 인상을 남긴 장면은 폐허가 된 공간에서 두 주인공이 카메라를 발견하고 그 렌즈를 통해 서로를 바라보는 장면이었다.
현실은 폐허와 다름없었지만, 카메라 렌즈를 통해 본 세상은 아늑하고 따뜻해 보였다. 그 장면은 어떤 렌즈를 통해 세상을 바라보느냐에 따라 세상이 완전히 다르게 느껴질 수 있음을 보여주는 것 같았다.
영상을 보고 나서 나는 어떤 렌즈로 타인을 바라보고 있는지 되돌아보게 되었다. 두 주인공처럼 나도 편견을 버리고 진심 어린 태도로 타인을 대하는 렌즈를 통해 세상을 바라봐야겠다.
