My son has a special hobby: origami. When he was five years old, I folded a paper crane for him. That sparked a deep interest in him, and he began diving into the world of folding paper.
He started with simple, but now, as a 10th grader, he has mastered almost every design featured in books published both domestically and internationally. He even joined an origami club where he creates his own original works.

내 아들은 종이 접기라는 특별한 취미가 있다. 아들이 다섯 살 때 종이학을 접어주었는데, 그것을 계기로 큰 관심을 갖더니 아이는 종이 접기의 빠져들기 시작했다.

흔히 종이 접기라고 하면 색종이로 만드는 단순한 작품을 떠올린다. 하지만 사실 종이접기는 매우 심오하고 정교한 예술의 한 장르이다. 전문 아티스트의 작품을 보면 종이 한 장으로 이렇게 정교하고 예술적인 작품을 만든다는 사실이 믿기지 않을 정도이다.
이 취미가 아들의 인생을 더 풍요롭게 해 주는 것을 보니 엄마로서 기쁘다.
