I used to study “입트영” using only my phone and e-books for quite some time. As a result, I often skipped a day, and it felt like I wasn’t getting the most out of my studies. So, at the start of 2023, I decided to sign up for a one-year subscription to the printed textbook. I resolved to study every day, Monday through Friday, without missing a single day.
The regular broadcast of “입트영” is only 20 minutes long, but I used the replay feature to pause whenever I encountered an unfamiliar word to look it up.
Including the daily English writing exercises, it usually took me around 30 to 40 minutes. Starting on January 2nd, the first Monday 2023, and continuing all the way to today, Friday, December 29, I finally made it through.
It was hard sometimes, especially when I had to catch up on two or three days’ worth of lessons after returning from a vacation or business trip. But I’ve finally achieved my goal without missing a single day. I want to give myself a round of applause, saying, “You’ve worked hard, and you’ve done a great job.”

나는 꽤 오랫동안 휴대폰과 전자책으로만 '입트영'을 공부했다. 그러다 보니 건너뛰는 경우가 많았고, 공부를 제대로 하지 못하는 것 같았다. 그래서 2023년 새해 초부터 교재를 1년 정기구독 했다. 월요일부터 금요일까지 하루도 빠지지 않고 매일 공부하기로 결심했다.
'입트영'의 정규 방송은 20분이지만, 낯선 단어가 나올 때마다 다시 듣기 기능을 이용해 멈추고 찾아가며 공부했다. 그날의 영어 쓰기 연습을 포함하면 보통 30~40분 정도 걸렸다. 2023년 첫 월요일인 1월 2일부터 시작해서 12월 29일 금요일까지 계속한 끝에 드디어 해냈다.
특히 휴가나 출장에서 돌아온 후 2~3일 분량의 수업을 따라잡아야 할 때는 힘들기도 했다. 하지만 하루도 빠지지 않고 목표를 달성했다. “정말 열심히 노력했고, 정말 잘 해냈다"며 스스로에게 박수를 보내고 싶다.
